The ‘Managed Individual Pathways’ initiative ensures that all Government schools provide individual career counselling and pathway planning for students in Years 10, 11 and 12.
Schools within the North Central Cluster; Birchip, Boort, Charlton, Donald, East Loddon, Pyramid Hill, St Arnaud, Wedderburn and Wycheproof have a Memorandum of Understanding with the North Central Local Learning & Employment Network (NCLLEN) to deliver a MIPs program.
The MIPs Coordinator complete a MIPs Career Action plan with each student, with the aim of assisting them to further identify their interests, strengths, long and short term goals, career interests, how to source information, and actions required as they prepare themselves for life after school.
The MIPs Coordinator visits each school on a regular basis - two days every three weeks (and once a month for P-10 schools) during term and works closely with the School’s Transition Team; Year level coordinator/s, Welfare Coordinator, Structured Workplace Learning Coordinator, Careers teacher and Support staff.
