Our Programs

In determining programs to broker, support or deliver, the North Central LLEN seeks to establish the capacity of a program to support the strategic goals (see below) of the organisation, and enhance the lives of young people aged 10 to 19 years.

Currently the North Central LLEN has three ‘formal programs’, Managed Individual Pathways, Links for Life Mentoring and the Workplace Learning Coordination Program. In addition to these programs a number of partnerships exist to support a broader range of initiatives across the region.

All programs must contribute to:

  • The facilitation and nurturing of sustainable partnerships with education, training, business, industry, parent and community organisations supporting young people to improved education and employment outcomes
  • Increasing the capacity of parents families and communities to support young people
  • Promoting and facilitating integrated planning and local delivery of multiple learning pathways
  • Working with business and industry to link education and training providers with school in addressing local and regional skills needs.
  • A focus on addressing disadvantage, including young people most at risk of, or currently disengaged and indigenous and refugee young people
  • Be evidence based and have the capacity to inform the broader LLEN work and contribute to developing and responding to the policy agendas of both DEEWR and DEECD
