Creating opportunities for children and young people to thrive in education, work and life
In 2020 a new two-year contract between the Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) and the North Central LLEN was signed.
Our role is to support schools to partner with business and industry and to increase the number of students who can undertake Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) and Work Experience during their senior years of schooling.
This program provides opportunities for our passionate team of ‘Careers and Pathways’ professionals to support business to understand how best to host young people in the workplace, to assist schools to work effectively with industry and businesses and to increase the use of the state-wide SWL Portal as a tool for school- industry engagement.
The ‘world of work’ is changing at a very fast pace; it is important that our young people are supported to develop skills through exploration and experience that will see them ready for life beyond the school gates.
