Creating opportunities for children and young people to thrive in education, work and life
In late 2018 the North Central LLEN received deductible gift recipient (DGR) status and become a registered charity which has enabled it to extend its remit from working with and for young people, to work with all children and young people to create opportunities for them to be on their way to success in education, work and life.
The Launching Pad encompasses our early years activities focusing on children under 12 years of age - to recognise the importance of the first 1000 days in a child's life, and the initial years of formal education through playgroups, pre-schools and primary schools across the north central region.
It is a growing area for us, and the sky really is the limit as there is so much more we could be doing if we were to be given additional funding and resources, but we are pleased to say that we have got the ball rolling with three important projects (with many more to come):
