There are many important issues in the world, but what makes people care? How do we push for a better world? What drives social change?
Join Emma in this 4- week intensive Take Over to learn how to use social media as a powerful tool for social advocacy.
For this Takeover, you’ll be working with a small team to run a social media campaign promoting new research into gender equity and equal opportunity for Women in Trades. Your campaign will help raise awareness and start a conversation about the ways that we can make male-dominated industries more accessible to women.
Emma is a passionate young person who heads up the communications and media at the Victorian LLENs. Her skills and knowledge in media, communications and social media will help guide your team to create your own campaign for the Women in Trades research and produce powerful and effective content to share on social media platforms.
The Take Over will consist of 6 sessions approximately 2-3 hours long. At the end of your project, you'll present your homegrown social media campaign to a panel of friendly experts, who will give you feedback, mentoring and suggestions.
